About Ards Yards
Ards Yards is one person. I started in 2019 with a mower, a trailer and about six yards around Oxford, and 7 years later it is roughly40 a week. That is about as many as one person can cut properly, which is why the list grows slowly and why I will tell you if I am full.
Nothing about how I work is complicated. I show up on the day I said, I cut at the height the grass actually wants for the season, I clean the walks before I leave, and if something in the yard needs attention I was not hired for, I tell you instead of quietly adding it to the bill.
What that means in practice
- A fixed day of the week, not a window. Your neighbours can tell you which one.
- The same person every visit, so nobody has to be told about the gate twice.

Licensed, insured, and local
I carry liability insurance and will send a certificate before starting, which matters if you are a property manager or handling a rental. I am based in Oxford and I do not subcontract the route out to anyone.

Most of these started as a neighbour asking.
Same truck, same day, every week. He is the one who quoted it and he is the one who shows up, which is not how the last two companies worked.
He told me the aeration could wait a season and saved me the money. That is why he still cuts my yard.
I have never had to explain the gate or the dog twice. Small thing, but it is why I stopped shopping around.
The fall cleanup is worth it on its own. My grass comes back in March ahead of everyone on the street.
